I read this afternoon that the GOP does not want to include illegal immigrants in the 2010 census. So what? What kind of logic would lead you to believe that people who are in the U.S. illegaly should be counted in a U.S. census?
Hispanic Advocacy Group The National Council of La Raza, that's who. Cecilia Munoz says that:
"The census language manages to be both unconstitutional and insulting".
Never mind the insult that people who have no legal right to even be in the U.S. demand representation in our government. This whole thing seems like it should be a non-issue to me.
I also don't like the way this has been turned into a Hispanic issue, let's be realistic this is primarily an issue between the U.S. and Mexico, not all Hispanics.
Now for all you bleeding hearts out there, familiarize yourself with Mexico's practices on their southern borders and get back to me.
